Foghlam is Gaelic for learning

Most firms start withthe solution. We start with the problem.

A boutique learning studio. One partner-led team takes your program from strategy through delivery, and we measure everything, so you know it worked.

Small enough to listen. Big enough to deliver.

Our perspective

Most vendors work in the canopy and staple a pretty curriculum on top of the tangle. We untangle the roots first, because that's where real growth comes from.

The problem with how learning gets bought

*Most corporate learning gets clicked through and forgotten.

Completions get counted.

Behavior doesn't change.

Strategy from one firm.

Courses from another.

A platform from a third.

Smile sheets aren't proof.

Clicked through

Completions get counted. Behavior doesn't change.

Bought in pieces

Strategy from one firm, courses from another, a platform from a third.

Nobody owns the outcome

Smile sheets aren't proof. Changed behavior is.

How we work

Know.Feel.Do.

Learning sticks when knowledge connects to emotion and turns into action. So we design every program backward from the do: what people should do differently on Monday.

Where it comes from: Know. Feel. Do. isn’t ours to claim. It’s our plain-English take on the three domains of learning from the Bloom tradition: cognitive (know), affective (feel) and psychomotor (do). Benjamin Bloom’s group at the University of Chicago published the cognitive-domain handbook in 1956, followed by the affective-domain handbook (Krathwohl, Bloom & Masia) in 1964. The psychomotor domain was developed later by others, including Dave, Harrow and Simpson.
